The pair does not have any children. As per the reports, there is no communal property listed in the divorce papers.
The Mighty Ducks – released in 1992 – was LaRusso’s debut film. The film also starred Emilio Estevez as a lawyer. The film was a huge hit, crossing $50.7 million.
The film later had two more sequels, 1994’s D2: The Mighty Ducks and 1996’s D3: The Mighty Ducks. The classic movie also geared up the careers of various young actors, including Joshua Jackson, Jussie Smollett and Elden Henson.
While many new stars were launched by the trilogy, a few of them have had a hard time surviving in the glamour industry.
Shaun Weiss, who played Goldberg, was arrested for shoplifting earlier in December, after checking into a treatment center for substance abuse.
After the Mighty Ducks trilogy, LaRusso wasn’t seen much in movies. He took a break from his acting career to attend high school and Boston University.
The 40-year-old actor returned to movies with the short film Damaged Goods in 2006. He later played the role of a bank robber in 2008’s Superhero Movie. and did a guest appearance in an episode of Dollhouse in 2009.
He was last seen in a 2010 short film named George and Sofia.
In an interview in 2014, LaRusso recalled his experience on the Mighty Ducks trilogy as a happy one. He also said that he frequently ran into his co-star Estevez in Los Angeles.
The reason behind LaRusso and Kathryn’s split is yet not clear.
