Tom Hardy and his wife Charlotte Riley have reportedly welcomed a baby boy on December 18.
The Dark Knight Rises star, 41, and Wuthering Heights actress, 37, welcomed their second child together. But the couple chose to keep the good news under wraps.
A source told The Sun, “The couple are over the moon with the new addition to the family. Friends are already saying that the baby boy looks exactly like Tom. They’ve been laying low over the festive period so they can get used to having a busier household and adjusting to the needs of a newborn.”
The couple already has a three-year-old daughter, who they have not named publicly. However, for the member of the family has been named Forrest, paying homage to Tom Hanks’ role in 1994 classic Forrest Gump.
“They love the name Forrest as it’s earthy and strong. Tom has always found the movie Forrest Gump very inspiring and enjoyable and thinks it fits,” the source said.
They have been married for four years and Charlotte’s second pregnancy was announced in July 2018. Tom Hardy also has a 10-year-old son Louis with ex-wife Rachael Speed.
An official statement on the birth of the new born is yet to be released by the couple. Tom has always tried to keep his family out of the spotlight, citing problems in public with constant photography, especially.
“I can see people’s behavior, I can see when a camera’s coming, I can see when a phone is moving, I can see people’s body language. There is no difference between that and a weapon, the hyper-vigilance,” Tom Hardy said in an interview in August, last year. “It’s just odd. I’m cool with that. But (pictures of my) kids are a f**king no. They really are.”
